Bandy President of SKA (Yekaterinburg) survives assasination attempt

   Alexandr Sivkov, the President of SKA (Yekaterinburg) bandy club, was attacked this morning and received a gunshot wound, SE Internet correspondent Stepan FEDOTOV reports.

   Three masked men opened fire on Sivkov this morning from unidentified weapons in the centre of Yekaterinburg. Luckily the wound doesn't constitute any danger to Sivkov's life.

   Alexandr Sivkov, twice world champion and Distinguished Master of Sports, lately headed the board of directors of Uralnefteproduct Stock Society and was active in political life. He was also among the founders of Our Children are Russia's Future charity fund. Thanks to this organization, in two days, on December 9, a revitalized children's ice hockey tournament for the Golden Puck prizes is supposed to begin. At this very day Alexandr Sivkov will celebrate his 49th birthday.
